GARP IPTV Player (Android TV / Google TV) · Operated by GRP LLC · Effective date: October 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information GARP IPTV Player ("GARP", "the App") handles, where that information goes, and the choices you have.

The short version. GARP is a media player. It plays streams from an IPTV service that you subscribe to separately. GRP LLC runs no server for the App, and the App contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking software. We do not collect, receive, store, sell or share any personal data about you. Everything the App remembers stays on your television.

1. What GARP is, and what it is not

GARP does not provide, sell, host or include any channels, films, series or playlists. To use it you enter the connection details given to you by your own IPTV service provider (an "Xtream Codes"-compatible server address, a username and a password). GARP then connects your television directly to that provider. GRP LLC is not affiliated with any IPTV provider and is not a party to your relationship with yours.

2. Information stored only on your device

The following is saved in the App's private storage on your television. None of it is sent to GRP LLC.

InformationWhy it is stored
Your provider's server address and your username So you do not have to type them again with a remote control.
Your provider password Same reason. It is encrypted with a key held in the Android Keystore of that device. If the device cannot provide encrypted storage, the App refuses to save the password rather than saving it unprotected.
The catalogue your provider returns (names and categories of channels, films and series, and artwork addresses) So lists and search open instantly instead of being downloaded every time.
Favourites, recently watched channels and playback positions To offer "continue watching" and quick access to what you use.
Cached artwork (posters and channel logos) To avoid downloading the same images repeatedly.
Your interface language choice To show the App in the language you picked.

The App is excluded from Android's cloud backup, so this data does not leave the device through your Google account either.

3. Information sent over the network

GARP communicates only with the server address you enter. To sign you in, list content and deliver video, images and programme-guide data, the App sends that server your username and password and requests the items you choose to watch. As with any internet connection, that server can also see your IP address and standard request information such as the time of the request and the App's name.

That server is operated by your IPTV provider, not by GRP LLC. What your provider records about your account and your viewing is governed by the provider's own terms and privacy policy.

A note on encryption in transit. Many IPTV providers only offer unencrypted http:// addresses. If the address you were given starts with http://, your credentials and viewing requests travel to your provider without encryption, and could be observed by others on the same network or by your internet service provider. This is determined by your provider's server, not by the App. Where your provider offers an https:// address, use it.

4. Information we collect

None. Specifically, the App does not:

The only Android permissions the App uses are internet access and the ability to check whether a network connection is available.

5. Sharing and sale of data

Because we receive no data from the App, we have nothing to share or sell. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

If you download GARP from Google Play, Google processes information about that download and about your device under Google's Privacy Policy. Google may provide us with aggregate, non-identifying statistics (for example, the number of installs per country) through the Play Console.

6. Retention and deletion

Everything described in Section 2 remains on your device until you remove it. You can delete it at any time, without contacting us:

Since we hold no copy, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

7. Security

Your provider password is encrypted at rest using the Android Keystore, and all App data is kept in storage that other apps on the device cannot read. No method of storage is perfectly secure; if you lose control of the television, change your provider password with your provider.

8. Children

GARP is a general-purpose media player and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. What can be watched through the App depends entirely on the service you connect it to.

9. Your rights

Privacy laws such as the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation and the California Consumer Privacy Act give you rights to access, correct, delete and port personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. GRP LLC holds no personal data about users of the App, so there is no data for us to provide, correct or erase; the controls in Section 6 let you exercise deletion directly on your device. For data held by your IPTV provider, contact that provider. If you have a question or concern, contact us using the details below — you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy — for example, because a future version of the App adds a feature that handles data differently — the new version will be published at this address with an updated effective date before that version is released.
